The so-called law is quite beautiful in that whatever happens in your life you have caused to happen, so if bad things happen it’s because you have inadvertently caused them to happen, it’s not the law of attraction’s fault but your own. The law is quite stupid in this respect, it cannot distinguish the difference between wanting something and not wanting something. If you say you don’t want to have an accident it is the same as saying you want to have an accident – this I just totally don’t get, why should you get something you don’t want? The proponents thereby have a get-out clause saying it’s your fault if you manifest the wrong things. The law cannot be held to account you have to take responsibility yourself, even though it is totally natural to have negative feelings the law requires you to stop any negativity in it’s tracks or suffer the consequences. So if good things happen it’s proof that the law of attraction works and if bad things happen it is still proof that it works, you’re just doing it wrong.

It seems that the only people using the law of attraction to their advantage are the ones who are selling a law of attraction product.

Like does attract like in as much as when when focusing your mind on a particular outcome you become aware when the right circumstances occur which can forward you efforts to effect a change. Whilst you are focused it appears that more of the same is attracted to you, for instance one day as you are driving along it occurs to you that you would like a pink car and suddenly you see pink cars everywhere you go. You are not attracting the pink cars, you are just noticing them because you recently thought about them. There were probably as many pink cars on the road yesterday but you did not notice them.

Focusing your mind on a particular outcome can be good as long as you also work towards that outcome and don’t expect it to happen by some kind of magic.

The Future of This Blog

This blog was pro Law of Attraction but on moving the blog to new hosting I took a long hard look and decided that I couldn’t write any more of the same, my heart wasn’t in it.

So what does the future gold for this blog?

I will still be focussing on positive thinking and possibly still blog about the law of attraction albeit a little tongue-in-cheek. I shall re-write any old posts which might still be appropriate, I’ll just see how the mood takes me… It will be more of a personal blog than it has been in the past.
